Quickly after the modern MTB was conceived, it gained a fork and the hardtail was born. It was fun to ride, easy to maneuver and started a revolution in bike handling skills.
The full suspension MTB rules the trails today, but the hardtail, when driven by a rider with good skills, remains the lighter and faster option for getting from point A to point B with lots of hills in between.
