Alpine Bike Works will never share, sell, or rent the information you provide us. When you sign up for our newsletter or blog or make a purchase from Alpine Bike Works, we keep your personal information private and secure.
When you make a purchase from Alpine Bike Works online store, you provide your name, email address, credit card information, address, phone number and a password. We use this information to process your order(s), to keep you updated on your purchases and to personalize your shopping experience.

Alpine Bike Works Online Store Policies
All prices subject to change. Since the majority of the items we sell are imported and ordered from the vendor up to one year in advance of retail availability, price fluctuations may occur and are subject to change from our listed retail price. Due to potential errors or changes from the vendor any information on our website (including pricing and product descriptions) are subject to change at our discretion and without prior notice.
In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information received from our suppliers, Alpine Bike Works shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for products listed at the incorrect price. Alpine Bike Works shall also have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, Alpine Bike Works will issue a refund to your card in the amount of the original charge.
We make every effort to keep our website inventory as accurate as possible, there may be an occasion where the website inventory is inaccurate. We do have a retail store and take phone orders as well – so occasionally there may be an overlap. Orders will be filled in the order in which they were received. If we cannot fulfill your order, you will be notified and promptly refunded for the sale.
Bicycles and bike equipment availability is based on a seasonal inventory supply. We will ship your product as it becomes available. Usually, products ship by the next business day. However, there may be times when the product you have ordered is out-of-stock, which will delay fulfilling your order. We will keep you informed of any products that you have ordered that are out-of-stock and unavailable for immediate shipment. You may cancel your order at any time prior to shipping.

Order Acceptance Policy
Alpine Bike Works reserves the right at any time after receipt of your online order to accept or decline your order for any reason or to supply less than the quantity you ordered of any item. Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell.
Credit Cards and Payment Methods
We accept credit cards and Paypal as a form of payment for online orders. There is no surcharge for using your credit card or Paypal account to make purchases. You must have a verified Paypal account to purchase via Paypal. Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number (i.e. the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you). Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order.
Multiple Product Orders
For multiple product orders, we will make every attempt to ship all items contained in that order at the same time. Products that are unavailable at the time of shipping will be shipped as they become available, unless you inform us otherwise. You will only be charged for products contained in a given shipment, plus any applicable shipping charges. You will only be charged for shipping at the rate quoted to you on your purchase receipt unless changes to the shipping method is made after the transaction is complete but prior to shipping. The entirety of this shipping charge will be applied to the first product(s) shipped on a multiple shipment order.
Most orders will ship the next business day, provided the product ordered is in stock. Orders are not processed or shipped on Saturday or Sunday. All orders over $200 are shipped “Signature Required” unless customer specifically agrees to assume liability via written request or by checking the appropriate button at checkout. Please allow 1-2 business days for orders to be processed, charged, and shipped.
We cannot guarantee when an order will arrive. Consider any shipping or transit time offered to you by this site or other parties only as an estimate. We encourage you to order in a timely fashion to avoid delays caused by shipping or product availability.
The customer pays actual shipping cost for their ordered items, unless the item/order qualifies for free shipping. The online shopping cart will calculate the shipping cost at the time of checkout. Customers will be responsible for all shipping charges if any package is refused at the time of delivery or if an item is returned. We cannot ship to third parties without voice authorization.
Free shipping applies to current season product priced at $100 or more only that is shipping within the continental United States.
Free shipping does not apply to clearance/closeout or sale items marked down to 40% off or greater.
Domestic Shipping (lower 48 states)
Shipping on all (no-clearance) purchases over $100 is free. We make every effort to ship all packages as economically as possible. Our preferred shipping partner for most items is UPS, though we do ship USPS for smaller parcels. On items shipped for free, the shipping partner used will be at our discretion. Please let us know in the comments section of your order if there is a particular shipper that does not ship to your area or if you have a preferred shipping method, and we will make every effort to accommodate you although cannot guarantee. On all orders that you pay to ship, you have the choice of shipper at checkout.
Domestic Shipping (Alaska, Hawaii and other US properties)
We recognize that shipping can be an issue to some remote areas, and that not all carriers operate in all areas. We will make every effort to ship to you as economically as possible, which usually means shipping USPS, but sometimes it is necessary to ship UPS or Fedex. If there is a particular carrier that is easiest for you to work with, please specify that in the comments section of your order.
For Domestic orders that do not qualify for free shipping, the shipping costs are calculated at checkout by the shipper you choose based on size and weight.
We currently do not offer International Shipping outside North America. If you live internationally and would like to purchase from our website we encourage you to look into an international shipping expeditor like Bongo International (a Fedex owned company).
International Shipping Outside North America
We currently do not ship outside of North America. If you live internationally and would like to make a purchase, we recommend doing so via an International Shipping Expeditor like Bongo International (a Fedex owned company).
International Shipping within North America – specifically Canada
When possible we will ship to Canada. Please understand that certain vendor agreements restrict this, so it will vary order to order. Our preferred shipping partner within North America is USPS (which connects to Canada Post). Maximum box length to Canada is 72 – 79 inches. This number varies slightly because of girth of box – the actual maximum number is total length plus total girth = 108 inches maximum. If you are ordering something longer then 188cm our preferred shipping partner is UPS.
Our store will automatically charge and withhold the applicable sales tax for orders to be delivered to addresses within the same state/province where Alpine Bike Works holds a presence. For orders shipped to other areas, you (the shopper) are solely responsible for any sales taxes and/or other taxes that may apply.
Customs Duty and Taxes/VAT:
All import duties and taxes are the responsibility of the purchaser and are not included in the sale prices. It is advisable that customers contact their local customs office for an estimate of these charges before submitting their order. International customers are responsible for paying all customs duty, taxes/VAT. Customs, duties and taxes/VAT vary by country. The duty is based on the type and price of merchandise being imported by (you) the customer. The origin on all packages we ship will be the actual country of origin of the product. This will vary based on individual manufacturers. If you do not know your customs, duty, tax/VAT rules, you should contact your local governing body to determine. We highly recommend you do this prior to placing your order so you are not surprised when the order arrives. Please be aware of the realistic costs associated with purchasing items from the United States and having them shipped Internationally. Refusing to accept delivery of your Alpine Bike Works order due to the requirement of paying fees associated with international duties and taxes will result in a restocking fee by Alpine Bike Works. Customers will be responsible for all shipping charges and customs/duty/VAT if any package is refused at the time of delivery or if an item is returned.
Every International order we ship will be correctly marked as ‘merchandise’ and will include a commercial invoice for the retail cost of the merchandise. Brokerage fees, customs duty and taxes/VAT are the customers responsibility. Please do not request the order be shipped as a ‘GIFT’ to try to avoid these fees.
On all packages shipped tracking information will be provided to you via email directly from the carrier. From the time the package leaves our door until it arrives at yours, you should receive tracking emails from the shipping carrier each step of the way.
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase of the current season’s product, you may return it. Closeout and sale items sold at 40% off or more are not returnable. Return of products that are defective due to defects in manufacturing and/or workmanship will be accepted as well as fulfillment mistakes which result in the shipment of incorrect products to you will also be accepted for return.
International Orders: Because of the significant costs associated with shipping Internationally, unless the product is defective or damaged in shipment – All sales are final. If you would like to return an item, please contact us to discuss. You will be responsible for the cost to return the shipment as well as all associated customs, duty, taxes/VAT.
Domestic Orders: If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase of the current season’s product, you may return it within 30 days of purchase. Closeout and sale items sold at 40% off or more are not returnable.
Unused, unworn products with tags on (where applicable) that are not closeout items can be returned within 30 days of the date of purchase (the day it was paid for). You will receive a full refund of the cost of the product less any applicable shipping charges (see below for information on shipping charges on items that were “shipped free”). Refunds will be processed as soon as the item(s) are received back at Alpine Bike Works and have been inspected to confirm they meet our return criteria. Items returned must be back in our store within 30 days of purchase. Returns received after 30 days will be subject to a 10% restocking fee.
For all orders – items that qualify for free shipping will carry with them a non-refundable shipping charge equal to our shipping and handling cost to ship the product to you. Customers will be responsible for any shipping charges associated with returning an order. Returns of items that were shipped internationally are accepted but we highly discourage it, it is very costly and the customer must pay any applicable duties, tariffs and/or VAT whether they keep the product or not. If the duties and/or VAT is refused and we need to pay it in order to receive the product back – the refund to the customer on the original sale will be reduced by that amount.
As a service to our customers we offer many different payment methods. There are certain extenuating circumstances beyond our control where the payment processing company will assess a fee for a credit/refund after a certain amount of time has transpired (ie: Paypal charges us to refund money to a customer after 60 days). If this should happen, any additional charges will be deducted from the customer’s refund.
All returns must be accompanied by an Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) issued by Alpine Bike Works. This RA# should be clearly written on the outside of the box. To request ann RMA, please call us at 802-773-0000.
